Regional Sales Manager

Position Overview: 

Advanced Transit Dynamics Inc. (ATDynamics) is seeking a sales executive with 5-10 years experience selling directly to C-level executives in fleet transportation companies. This individual will work closely with the company’s VP of sales to oversee the nationwide roll-out of its high profile trucking industry fuel efficiency technology.

Candidate must have proven sales experience, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced start-up environment. Candidate will be comfortable managing sales process targeting senior fleet executives and fleet maintenance managers, working closely with ATD CEO and engineering team. Compensation heavily weighted toward equity and commissions.

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Compensation: Base salary plus bonus plus equity package based on experience.

Location: Company headquarters in South San Francisco, CA. Candidate will be able to work remotely due to travel requirements – geographic proximity to centers of trucking industry activity a plus.

Job Requirements:

  • Lead direct sales efforts of high-profile fuel efficiency technology to top 200 long-haul trucking fleets.
  • Manage sales growth strategy including the contracting and hiring of additional sales personnel and the development of secondary distribution channels.
  • Work closely with engineering team to provide ongoing customer feedback on expanding product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales and executive team to develop long-term growth projections and marketing strategy.
  • Interact with diverse stakeholders: C-level executives of long-haul fleet operators, fleet maintenance directors, truck drivers, shipping companies, environmental groups and investors.
  • Contribute to the company’s mission to dramatically reduce global oil dependence through the rapid commercialization of fuel-efficient transportation technology.

Desired Experience:

  • 5-7 years sales experience successfully introducing innovative new product lines to major fleet operator customers or in related industries.
  • Proven ability to identify key decision makers and build strong collaborative alliances at the senior executive level of target accounts.
  • Proven ability to assume significant leadership role within an entrepreneurial venture including demonstrated ability to effectively lead high level cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills including ability to cold call; maintain positive attitude in the face of inevitable early stage challenges; set priorities and operate with minimal support and direction; build and effectively utilize relevant contact networks; operate effectively with minimal infrastructure support.
  • Experience developing and managing sales processes in transportation related industries.
  • Passion for promoting environmentally sustainable transportation technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
